Here is my first tutorial! It is for making a widows peak, this can be used for any character that has one, not necessarily Axel or Lea. I used this technique for Terra as well.

can we use the excess cut up hair as wefts instead?

Its harder to glue it in and it won't look as neat. You can make your own wefts out of it probably though. I just don't know how to do that. There are other tutorials for it.
